Here at Stringer and Company London we like to celebrate local and talented businesses and suppliers.  

One of our favourite suppliers is Mylands who, for over 130 years, have remained one of London’s best kept secrets.  A favourite of many interior designers and decorators, Mylands creates a unique range of paints and wood finishes used extensively in film and theatre.  

Mylands produce high quality products, using techniques handed down through generations of the same family. Hidden away in the back streets of South London, it seems like a miracle that this manufacturing set up has managed to retain its position in a mainly residential area. 

Mylands has a small factory trade counter which is great for looking at samples and crucially picking up large volumes of paint, stains or finishes. They also have a superb advice line based upon decades of experience which is enormously helpful when working with new or complex materials and surfaces.
